When Carmine was 17 years old – he had a young cousin die in a car accident, this was a trigger for him to be travelling with anxiety and depression for 13 years. Carmine separated from religion, tried to find happiness through ambition, accumulation, travel and other people. When faced with a cancer scare at the age of 33, Carmine stopped for a moment and asked himself a few questions:

What really matters now?
What am I waiting for?
